Does Culture Eat Strategy for Breakfast? What Can We Do about It?

In a world wracked by trade wars, hackers, and disruptive innovations, companies scramble to create and execute on their strategy before the vortex sucks them under.  However, as Peter Drucker famously stated, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” Leaders must realistically address their culture to succeed. Employees often “get” culture far better than they “get” strategy.

So how do you shift an organizational culture? What works? What doesn’t work? How do I know what my organization, or my client’s organization, is ready for?  How can we address both strategy and culture together? What do leaders need to do in order to win employees’ trust that leaders care about them?

A panel of OD practitioners with experience as Directors, Vice Presidents and external consultants will share their triumphs and tragedies in nudging cultures in strategically important directions. They will share scenarios, challenge you to think through the intervention strategy you might use, and lead you through what they did and how it went.
